A flat tyre is the most common reason a fatbike stands still. Fortunately, an inner tube is a small part you can replace yourself. The key is getting the size and valve right: most fatbikes use a 20x4.0 inner tube with a car valve (Schrader). Check the specifications or ask us whether you are getting the right size.
The right size and valve
The wide 20x4.0 inner tube is the fatbike standard. If you ride a 26-inch model, you need a 26-inch inner tube. Many fatbikes use a car valve, so you can inflate at any petrol station. Torn between sizes or valve types? Check the specifications or ask us.
Replacing it yourself or stocking up?
Replacing an inner tube is easy to do yourself with a couple of tyre levers and a pump. It is smart to keep a spare inner tube and a repair kit at home, so a flat never ruins your ride.
