A fatbike is a sought-after bike, so a sturdy lock pays off. ART-approved locks offer the highest protection and are often a requirement for your insurance. With a D-lock, mind the internal size: it must fit comfortably around your frame and fat tyre.

Buy a fatbike lock: ART-approved and secure
A fatbike is a prized target for thieves, and so is your battery on its own. A good lock is therefore no afterthought. For insurance, look at the ART certification: the higher the ART category (e.g. ART-4), the heavier the security. Most locks are universal and fit any fatbike, while a battery lock does have to match your battery mount. In doubt about the latter? Ask us.
Which lock do you need?
On the road, a heavy D-lock or chain lock with ART certification is the safest choice; these locks are universal. For your battery we also recommend a fitting battery lock, so your expensive battery can't simply be removed. Want to secure your OUXI or another model properly, combine a frame lock with a chain to a fixed point.
ART certification and insurance
Many bike insurance policies require at least a certain ART category. Check your policy before choosing, so you are covered in case of theft. Two different locks of different types also cost a thief more time than two of the same. A cheap lock saves you a few euros now, but costs you your whole fatbike when stolen.
